MAPA Chapter Head Elected to 2nd Term

Robert Villafana has been reelected to a second term as president of the San Fernando Valley Chapter of the Mexican American Political Assn.
Villafana has served on a variety of community organizations, including the Latin American Civic Assn., the Northeast Valley Health Corp. and the city of San Fernando Park and Recreation Commission.
In addition, Olga Alarcon of Sun Valley was elected vice chairwoman of the group, Gladys Gomez of North Hills was elected secretary, and Pedro Cervantes of San Fernando was elected treasurer. The group’s elections were held Tuesday.
The organization aims to increase the number of Latinos who vote, and to act as an advocate for the community.
