Cable Unable to Get Last Out

United Artists Cable subscribers in North Hollywood and part of Toluca Lake missed seeing CBS’ coverage of the final out of Game 6 of the National League championship series Wednesday after their service went out about 8:15 p.m.
Arthur Abello, the system’s customer service supervisor on duty at the time of the outage, said a reason for the problem had not been determined. Abello did not have an estimate as to the number of households affected.
The outage occurred just after Mitch Williams had retired Atlanta’s first two batters in the top of ninth inning. Bill Pecota struck out to end the game.
