Ventura police arrested a second suspect in an incident in which a 17-year-old Ventura boy was stabbed seven times in the back early Saturday morning, a police report said.
The stabbing victim’s friend was reportedly assaulted by another attacker at the scene, the report said.
Police arrested John Christian Partida Jr., 20, of Ventura, for allegedly loading his gun, aiming it at the stabbing victim’s friend and pulling the trigger twice, the report said. The gun misfired both times, according to police, and the victim’s friend ran from the scene without injury.
A dozen youths were reportedly at the scene, the report said, and police are continuing their investigation into the incident but no further arrests have been made.
