Father of Siamese Twins Admits Being ‘Drunk and Stoned’

KENTLAND, Ind. — The father of recently separated Siamese twins said Monday he missed a probation hearing because he was drunk and high on cocaine.
“I’m not going to lie to you. Friday morning I was drunk and stoned. I didn’t want to be an embarrassment and come into your courtroom like that,” Kenneth Lakeberg told Judge Daniel Molter.
Lakeberg, 26, was sentenced in May to one year of probation for slashing a cousin’s hand with a butcher knife during a fight.
After Lakeberg failed to appear, Molter issued an arrest warrant and revoked his probation.
Lakeberg’s daughter, Angela, remains in serious but stable condition.
