COLLEGE BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : No. 3 Michigan Cruises, 78-60

Jalen Rose scored 25 points and No. 3 Michigan cruised to a 78-60 victory over Detroit Mercy on Monday night at Ann Arbor, Mich.
Rose got Michigan started with a three-point basket 30 seconds into the game and the Wolverines went on to take a 16-4 lead.
Michigan (5-0) played without center Juwan Howard who strained his right Achilles’ tendon in practice on Sunday. He was listed as questionable for Michigan’s game against No. 4 Duke Saturday.
No. 4 Duke 97, South Carolina State 61--Cherokee Parks had 15 points to lead six Duke players in double figures at Durham, N.C.
Chris Collins and Antonio Lang each had 14 points for Duke (4-0).
No. 7 Kansas 82, Washburn 68--Steve Woodberry scored 16 points and made four three-point baskets in the second half to lead the Jayhawks at Lawrence, Kan.
Woodberry made a three-point basket and six other Jayhawks scored during a 25-5 run that Kansas (5-1) put together midway through the second half after Washburn (4-2) had cut the Kansas lead to four.
OTHER GAMES
Carlos Rogers scored 25 points and had 13 rebounds, all within 16 minutes, as Tennessee State (2-2) cruised to a 148-57 victory over Fisk (0-5) at Nashville.
