The 1994 brochure of field seminars to be offered by the Yosemite Assn., a nonprofit educational organization that has funded park programs since 1924, is available.
Spring flower walks, birding classes, drawing and painting classes, butterflies, journal-writing workshops, geology courses, backpack trips and family trips are among the 75 seminars scheduled through the spring and summer.
Spring classes include “The Magic of Winter--a Photo Workshop,” Feb. 4-6 ($130); “Yosemite’s Winter World--an Ecology Study, Feb. 26-27 ($100), and “Winter Stars Over Yosemite,” March 11-12 ($100). Classes run from one to eight days. Many are on weekends. In many cases, accommodations in Yosemite Valley are set aside for participants.
The details are spelled out in the new brochure that is available by calling or writing the association, P.O. Box 230, El Portal, Calif. 95318; telephone (209) 379-2321, fax: (209) 379-2486.
