The first of four public workshops on the controversial $500-million resort planned for the Headlands will be broadcast live tonight at 6 p.m. on local Channel 30.
John Ballew, the city’s consultant on the project, will make a presentation and take questions from the City Council. No public testimony will be allowed.
As currently proposed, the resort plan includes a 400-room hotel and 394 homes along the 121-acre bluff-top parcel overlooking Dana Point Harbor. The plan has been approved by the city Planning Commission and is now under review by the council.
The workshops will continue every other Tuesday evening through March 1. Tonight’s workshop is scheduled to end at 8.
