Southern California’s utility companies and agencies will hold a free workshop Saturday to help people whose homes were damaged or lost in the Jan. 17 earthquake or last fall’s brush fires rebuild more energy-efficient homes.
While the session is planned for the victims of natural disasters, the public also is invited, according to Southern California Edison, one of the sponsors.
The workshop also was sponsored by the Gas Co., the California Energy Commission, the U.S. Department of Energy, the Metropolitan Water District and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. It will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Edison’s Customer Technology Application Center, 6090 Irwindale Ave., Irwindale.
Information: (800) 336-CTAC.
