Trade Deficit Rising to $100 Million: The nation is heading for a trade deficit of $100 million in the first half of this year, the official Vietnam News Agency said. Quoting the Ministry of Trade, the agency said export earnings in the first six months of 1994 were expected to reach $1.6 billion, 27% higher than the same period of 1993, and imports were expected to be 33% higher at $1.7 billion.
