Two men wearing ski masks and armed with an assault rifle burst into the Chevron gas station and mini-mart on Telegraph Road in Ventura early Sunday, firing several shots before cleaning out the cash register and running off, Ventura police said.
The men entered Eddie’s Chevron at 7700 Telegraph Road about 5:20 a.m., police said. They fired two shots and ordering clerk William Clark to open the cash register.
The suspects removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, ordered Clark to lie on the floor and fired two more shots into the walls before fleeing, according to police.
There were no injuries during the robbery. No one at the store Sunday morning would discuss the incident.
