Anaheim Ruins Hull’s Debut With the Blades

The Anaheim Bullfrogs spoiled the debut of Blades Coach Bobby Hull Jr., winning, 7-1, before 8,653 at the Pond of Anaheim in the Roller Hockey International season opener for both teams on Sunday.
Bullfrogs goalie Rob Laurie turned away 37 shots. The Blades’ Brett Kurtz scored with 3:53 remaining in the game.
The teams combined for 96 penalty minutes. Although there were three scuffles, only the Bullfrogs’ Darren Langdon and Kurtz received 10-minute game misconduct penalties.
Jim Brown scored two second-half goals and defenseman Yuri Krivokhija had a goal and three assists for the Bullfrogs.
Colin Ward scored two first-half goals for the Bullfrogs, including one on a 50-foot slap shot that beat Blades goalie Maxim Mihailovsky.
