Dennis Johnson has been promoted to senior vice president of Showtime Entertainment Group, putting him in charge of the cable channel’s original productions.
* Justin Pierce has been named vice president of media relations and promotion for Columbia TriStar Television.
* Walt Disney Pictures named Allison Brecker vice president of production.
* Animators Bill and Susan Kroyer joined Warner Bros. Feature Animation as director and co-producer, respectively.
* Music lawyer Richard Leher has been named senior vice president of Hollywood Records.
* New Line International Releasing promoted Ralpho Borgos to vice president of its international division.
* John Clynick was named vice president of finance, worldwide anti-piracy, for the Motion Picture Export Assn. of America.
* Judith Karfiol was named to the new position of executive coordinator for the western division of the Writers Guild of America.
* Gerber/ITC has signed Victoria Sterling as vice president of movies and miniseries for network and cable.
* Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Studio Operations Group promoted five executives. Earl Capello was named vice president of production services; Paul Casella was named director of transportation; Richard Branca was named vice president of sound, video and projections; Tom McCarthy was named vice president of theatrical and TV sound editorial, and Steven B. Cohen was named director of digital picture editorial.
* Fox Broadcasting Co. named Dan McDermott to the new position of executive vice president of current sales and specials.
