Woodland Hills East Wins With Late Rally

Woodland Hills East came up with four runs in the final two innings Thursday to surprise Encino, 5-4, in an American Legion District 20 game at Taft High.
Encino (15-3) led, 4-1, when Woodland Hills scored three times in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Woodland Hills (6-12) tied the game when David Helman scored from third on a double-steal attempt in which Greg Venger was picked off first base.
In the seventh, Justin Collins’ two-out double scored Jon Schaeffer with the game-winner. Venger and Schaeffer each had three hits.
