Jenny Lee Shares Lead in Optimist Golf

Jenny Lee of Fullerton shot a five-under-par 69 on the North course at Torrey Pines to share the first-round lead with Shauna Estes of Orangeburg, S.C., Tuesday in the Optimist Junior World Golf Championships in San Diego.
Lee and Estes, both 16, are competing in the 15-17 age group.
The four-day tournament, which includes golfers ranging in age from 10 to 17, has drawn 834 golfers from across the United States and various foreign countries.

Scott Rynders of Mission Viejo is four shots out of the lead after shooting a par 71 in the first round of the Todd Moore Memorial Junior tournament at the Abilene Country Club in Abilene, Tex. Jimmy Vondra of Kingwood, Tex., is the leader with a 67.

Tickets for the first John Wooden Classic college basketball doubleheader will go on sale Saturday at The Pond of Anaheim box office and Ticketmaster locations.
The event, to be played Dec. 3 at The Pond, will feature Kentucky vs. UCLA in one game and Kansas vs. Massachusetts in the other.
Ticket prices are $22, $35, $49 and $75.
