Huntington Continues Chamber Music Series

Remaining events in the three-concert Huntington Library summer series by the Southwest Chamber Music Society take place Saturday and Aug. 13.
On Saturday at 7:30 p.m., in the Loggia of the Main Gallery, the ensemble continues its retrospective of the music of Charles Ives with a performance of his String Quartet No. 1, “The Revival Meeting.” The agenda also lists Horatio Parker’s String Quartet in F, piano music by Louis Moreau Gottschalk and rags by Scott Joplin.
On Aug. 13, the ensemble offers Ives’ String Quartet No. 2, Mozart’s “A Musical Joke” and Dvorak’s “American” Quartet.
