DIAMOND BAR : Horcher Aide Changes Voting Registration
- Share via
Ronald G. Brand, chief of staff for Assemblyman Paul Horcher (R-Diamond Bar), said he has changed his registration to Rancho Cucamonga, where he lives, after it was discovered that he had registered to vote in Diamond Bar, where he had rented a mailbox.
Brand said he did not realize he was not allowed to register at the mailbox address, although the registration instructions state: “Print your complete address (not P.O. Box).”
He voted in Diamond Bar in the June 7 primary election. At that time, an election monitor informed Brand of his mistake. He corrected the registration on July 20.
Brand was living on a boat, where postal workers do not make deliveries, in Long Beach when he registered in Diamond Bar. He moved to San Bernardino County five months ago.
