Consumer Portfolio Reports Profit Hike

IRVINE — Consumer Portfolio Services Inc., a car loan company, reported profit of $1.7 million, or 31 cents a share, for the third fiscal quarter ended Dec. 31, 81% higher than the $965,714, or 22 cents a share, recorded for the third quarter of the prior year.
Revenue rose to $6.9 million from $2.2 million.
Profit for the first three quarters of the fiscal year increased 70% from the like period a year earlier, to $4.6 million, or 85 cents a share, from $2.7 million, or 62 cents a share.
Revenue climbed to $17.2 million from $6.3 million.
