Company Town : Jacobson Joins Creative Artists Agency

Creative Artists Agency has hired Matthew Jacobson to work in an executive capacity in the talent agency’s corporate advisory group. He will concentrate in the areas of new media and interactive entertainment services. Jacobson was formerly vice president of entertainment services at Delphi, an on-line service and Internet access provider. Before joining Delphi, Jacobson managed syndication sales for Twentieth Television.
* Melanie Moen was named vice president, legal affairs, for the American Film Marketing Assn.
* Castle Rock Entertainment promoted Gregory M. Paul to chief operating officer. He was executive vice president and general counsel.
* Live Entertainment named Ronald B. Cushey chief financial officer.
* Shukovsky English Entertainment named Marc Pariser as executive vice president, creative affairs.
* Jill Proctor has been named director of development for Morgan Hill Films at Hearst Entertainment. Hearst also named Jerry Diaz to director, international sales, Latin America.
* Larry Mestel was named chief operating officer of Island Entertainment Group.
