Many of your area rescue teams came to Oklahoma City to assist in rescue operations after the April 19 bombing.
I wanted to express my appreciation for the quick, compassionate response from these men and women who could have spared themselves the hard, stressful and dangerous work, but instead came willingly. Los Angeles can be proud of its many courageous and caring rescue workers. These people are the real heroes of today.
