Strong Wind Forces Delay of Weather Satellite Launch

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. — Gusts of up to 42 m.p.h. forced NASA to delay the launch of a weather satellite Saturday.
It was the second postponement in as many days for the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite. Friday’s launch was scrubbed because of a bad rocket battery. NASA rescheduled the launch for no earlier than Tuesday.
