A recent “48 Hours” (CBS) about computerphobia featured a kid who couldn’t draw but who could turn out fancy computer art by pointing and clicking a mouse. In another segment, a typical family spent $3,000 on a computer to go on-line, where they’ll have access to everything from E-mail to pornography. The show featured a famous, rich writer who has gotten along fine with nothing more than a typewriter. Can I join the Lead Pencil Club, which is determined to block the Information Highway?
