With Boomer Esiason doubtful for Sunday’s game at Carolina because of a concussion suffered in a 29-10 loss to Buffalo, the New York Jets are expected to start Bubby Brister, who is recovering from a bruised right thumb he suffered after replacing Esiason last week.
