Services are scheduled Tuesday for Robert Morton Sampson, a retired florist who was killed Wednesday in a car crash along California 118. He was 65.
Sampson, who lived in Ventura County for six years, was an extensive traveler who was an officer in a sister city group that cultivated exchanges with the Mexican city of Ajijic, outside Lake Chapala.
He was also a former president of the Studio City Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Business and Professional Women’s Assn.
He was born July 19, 1930, in Thief River Falls, Minn. He is survived by his wife of six years, Huldah Sampson; his mother, Ruth Sampson of North Hollywood; one brother, Benjamin Sampson of Laguna Niguel, and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary, 1075 E. Daily Drive, Camarillo. Burial at sea will follow cremation.
