Product Recall: Braun Inc. is recalling and replacing filter holders for 5,000 of its espresso-cappuccino makers, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said. Consumers could be hurt by flying glass or escaping steam and spilled coffee grounds if the filter holder is pushed past the maximum setting and dislodges, the commission said. The company has received 16 reports of the filter holder’s dislodging, resulting in three injuries, including a cut and burns. The models affected are the E20 and E25, type 3058, and have a production code number of 426 through 450 stamped on the base. Braun will provide replacement filter holders, new instruction sheets and product labels to people who own the machines, the commission said. For more information, call (800) 933-8363.
