Santa Ana Insurer Acquires a Title Firm

SANTA ANA — First American Title Insurance Co. has acquired Consolidated Title & Abstract Co. in Duluth, Minn., for an undisclosed number of shares of First American’s parent, The First American Financial Corp.

First American purchased the title company from Scott Danielson, the sole share owner, who will be departing to pursue other interests.

Consolidated will retain its name, but will operate as a branch of Santa Ana-based First American.
