HIV Test Removed From Market: Abbott Diagnostika, the German unit of U.S.-based Abbott Laboratories, said it has stopped delivery of its AIDS virus test products after HIV infections were not detected in four cases. The company said it took the product off the market last week after reports of false-negative results in Spain, France and Britain. In the nine months Abbott has had the product IMx HIV-I/HIV 3rd Generation Plus on the market, it has sold 2 million units.
