Mayor’s Wisdom Shines on Homeless
Regarding the April 2 article on the final night of the Conejo Valley Winter Shelter in Ventura County:
Mayor [Andy] Fox speaks for the overwhelming majority of clear-thinking citizens in this oak-adorned oasis. A homeless shelter is a bad idea, as is homelessness itself, and should never be considered, lest it despoil the pristine grandeur of our fair city.
Let these shiftless derelicts and vagrants migrate to places with permanent shelters, even if many of them were raised, attended school and worked in this magnificent community once upon a time when their lives were productive and worthwhile.
Better yet, let’s ship them to Los Angeles. That vile hellhole is fit only for our jobs and businesses and would be a suitable repository for those misfits who would otherwise litter and pee on the well-kept streets of our beloved enclave.
Our wonderful city is indeed fortunate to have stalwart civic leaders who courageously stand against the outrageous and invasive supplications from homeless families and their misguided lackeys in Thousand Oaks.
