Santa Barbara 27, Hueneme 6--The Dons (2-6, 2-3) held the winless Vikings (0-8, 0-5) to 28 first-half rushing yards in the Channel League game at Hueneme.
Santa Barbara defensive back Jason Fernandes opened the scoring by returning an interception 60 yards for a late first-quarter touchdown. The Dons added touchdowns on a 45-yard run by Cameron Stewart and an eight-yard pass from Armando Gonzales to Mike Viani for a 20-0 halftime lead.
Hueneme was led by running back Bryan Parker, who carried nine times for 65 yards, including a three-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
