Call it Absolut FCC. A new magazine ad for Absolut vodka is a shrink-wrapped puzzle that comes with a sticker warning that its small pieces make the puzzle unsuitable for children. It was created by TBWA Chiat/Day, the agency behind the controversial Chivas Regal television commercials from Seagram. Federal Communications Commission Chairman Reed Hundt has called on broadcasters to reject liquor commercials because they might harm kids. . . . Buy a product, discover the meaning of life. That seems to be the message from Gatorade, which asserts that “Life is Sport (drink it up)” and Gardena-based Nissan, which proclaims that “Life is a journey (enjoy the ride).”
