The junior quarterback completed 19 of 36 passes for 271 yards in a 22-19 upset of Newhall Hart in the Southern Section Division II quarterfinals. His five-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Snyder with 33 seconds remaining provided the winning margin.

The junior running back had only two carries against Capistrano Valley, but one was a 75-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to lead the Cubs to a 17-14 victory. Faulk finished with 77 yards rushing in the Southern Section Division I quarterfinal.
