Erica Sorgi of the Mission Viejo Nadadores scored 478.98 points to advance to the finals of the National Diving Championships at Indianapolis.
Sorgi, 15, a two-time U.S. springboard champion and the 1997 gold medal winner in the World Junior Championships in platform diving, had the highest score on the three-meter springboard.
