Time to Apply for Grand Jury Extended

In an effort to get a wider economic and racial range of applicants, the deadline for grand jury applications has been extended to May 1, the court executive officer announced Wednesday.
Attempts are made each year to include a demographic cross-section of the county, and the applications and nominations received this year have fallen short of that goal, officials said.
Anyone over the age of 18 who has lived in the county for at least a year and who has no felony convictions may apply.
