Shooting Suspect Is Too Sick for Court

The man charged with killing two federal police officers in a shootout inside the Capitol is in no shape to appear in court, his lawyer argued in court papers. Russell Eugene Weston Jr. could face the death penalty if convicted. He remains hospitalized in stable condition, recovering from gunshot wounds he received in the exchange of gunfire July 24. “He is in no condition to be able to be brought to court,” federal Public Defender A.
