City officials will begin interviewing candidates next week for the newly created position of assistant city manager, approved by the City Council last week.
The position is a part of a reorganization of the city manager’s office. The office’s senior management analyst was recently reassigned to the Recreation and Community Services Department to focus on special projects, budget preparation and community outreach.
The assistant city manager’s duties will include public information, legislative analysis, council correspondence and newsletter correspondence. Officials expect the position to be filled by October.
The job pays $50,000 to $67,000.
