Lancaster Beats Quakes, 9-7

Adonis Harrison went four for four and Luis Tinoco had three hits for Lancaster (41-31) in a 9-7 California League victory over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Friday night at the Hangar.
Jason Bond (4-1) gave up five hits and four earned runs in 4 2/3 innings for Lancaster and Aaron Scheffer pitched the ninth to get his 10th save.
SUNS
Scott Glasser scored on a passed ball by Nilson Antigua in the 10th inning to give the Reno Chukars a 7-6 victory over the Pacific Suns at Reno.
Bernie Nunez hit a two-run home run in the fifth to give the Suns (7-18) a 4-2 lead, but the Chukars tied the score, 6-6, with two runs in the eighth.
Jose Mussett (1-1) pitched three innings in relief and took the loss.

Double A--Catcher Robert Fick (Newbury Park High, Cal State Northridge) and right-fielder Gabe Kapler (Taft, Moorpark College) each had two hits in Jacksonville’s 5-0 victory over Orlando. Kapler hit his 14th home run. Erik Hiljus (Canyon) struck out four in two innings of relief for Jacksonville. . . . Center fielder Ryan Stromsborg (Notre Dame) hit a home run in Knoxville’s 2-1 loss to Mobile. . . . Mike McMullen (Glendale College) struck out four in 1 2/3 innings of relief in Shreveport’s 4-2 loss to Tulsa.
Class A--Left fielder Benji Simonton (Pepperdine) had four hits, including a double and his 11th home run, and drove in four runs in San Jose’s 10-3 victory over Visalia. . . . Right-hander Josh Towers (Hueneme, Oxnard College) of Frederick is 7-3 after pitching a five-hitter and striking out 10 in a 2-1 victory over Winston-Salem.
