Heather Daly-Donofrio had birdies on two of her first four holes, but Friday was a test of her patience at the LPGA Friendly’s Classic at Agawam, Mass.
Daly-Donofrio, the first-day leader, finished the second day tied for the lead with Marilyn Lovander at seven-under-par 137.
The second day, but not the second round.
Heavy rain and electrical storms belted Crestview Country Club at Agawam, Mass., and Daly-Donofrio will play her 36th hole today before beginning the third round.
“I’m just tired from hanging around,” Daly-Donofrio said after a delay that lasted more than an hour before play was called.
Lovander, with the help of a 30-foot eagle putt on No. 7, had a 68.
Rookie Christy Erb, who had her second 69, was a stoke behind Daly-Donofrio and Lovander, a 43-year-old who said she didn’t pick up a golf club until she was 19 and turned pro at 30.
Two strokes behind the leaders at 139 were Charlotta Sorenstam, who had a 70, and Val Skinner, who had a 71.
Elizabeth Janangelo, a 14-year-old amateur playing her first LPGA tour event, failed to make the cut after an 82 left her at 168.

Brian Barnes, a burly Briton accustomed to playing in bad weather, shot a five-under-par 67 on a day that included rain, hail and lightning, earning a share of the lead in the Canada Senior Open.
Barnes was at 136, eight under par for two rounds at the 6,942-yard Glencoe Golf & Country Club course at Calgary. Four strokes behind at the start of the day, he moved into a tie for the midway lead with Tom Jenkins, who shot a 71 on Friday.
Bruce Summerhays held a piece of the 18-hole lead but a 73 Friday left him at 138, one shot behind Walter Hall, who shot a second-round 68.
Larry Laoretti had a 66, the best round of the day, and was at 139.
