Man Shot in Stomach Remains Hospitalized in Critical Condition

A man was shot in Echo Park and left in critical condition, police said Monday.
The unidentified 22-year-old victim was shot in the stomach at 10 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of North Westlake Avenue, said Los Angeles Police Officer T. Chaney of the Rampart station.
“All the victim told his friend was that he was shot at Temple Street and Glendale Boulevard before they rushed him to the hospital,” Chaney said.
Responding officers found a trail of blood on the north sidewalk of Temple Street, west of Glendale Boulevard, Chaney said, adding that no arrests were immediately made and the motive for the shooting is not known.
