Police in Newport Beach are seeking the public’s help in their search for a missing 13-year-old girl who has a history of meeting older men on the Internet, authorities said Thursday.
Nicole Alexandra Foster has been missing since Tuesday, Newport Beach Police Sgt. Mike McDermott said. She suffers from severe depression and apparently ran away, he said.
“We’re concerned that because of her past tendency to arrange dates with men much older than herself over the Internet, she may have put herself in a dangerous situation,” McDermott said.
The youngster has brown hair and green eyes, is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds, he said, and has a burn scar on her upper right arm. She was last seen near 700 West Coast Highway in Newport Beach, dressed in black pants and red sneakers.
Anyone with information about the case may call Newport Beach police detectives at (800) 550-6273.
