American Legion Post 741 in Camarillo will honor veterans during a Memorial Day service Monday at the Conejo Mountain Memorial Park starting at 11 a.m.
Representatives from veterans and service organizations will place wreaths on veterans’ graves, and four biplanes will fly overhead.
The event at 2052 Howard Road is being held to “remember the people that have afforded us the opportunity of the lifestyle we have,” said Darwin Tolzin, former commander of the post. The event will include music and choral programs, as well as a speech from Capt. Diane C. McKinzy of the Air National Guard.
About 55 county Cub and Girl Scouts are expected to help place flags on the graves of veterans today starting at 9 a.m.
For more information, contact Tolzin at 484-9116.
