Between sips of an iced-coffee drink, Ami Young gets lost in the pages of a paperback read. Nearby, Godwin Oniya reaches for his java while studying for a nursing exam. And over there, siblings Carlos and Anita Edwards prove that there’s no such thing as rivalry--at least not while they’re expressing themselves over espressos.

Here, at the Ladera Center Starbucks (co-owned by Magic Johnson) near LAX, Angelenos get their Sunday F.I.X.--anything and everything from lattes to frapuccinos.

And they do it with S.T.Y.L.E.: guys in racing-striped jeans, polo shirts, summer sandals and cool denim, and women in knitted mini-dresses or chic slacks and bright-colored tops.

Fashionable, indeed.
