VENTURA — A 29-year-old Oxnard man walking in a residential area in west Ventura was stabbed in the chest Saturday, police said.
After the 5:20 p.m. attack in the 100 block of Barnett Street, Ronald Laboy apparently flagged down a passing motorist and hitched a ride to Community Memorial Hospital, according to the Ventura Police Department.
He was still being treated late Saturday night, police said.
Laboy told officers a man between the ages of 18 and 20 ran up and stabbed him once with a buck-type knife. Laboy refused to give officers any more information about the incident, police said.
