Men and women of all persuasions took part in tryouts Wednesday for the role of queen of the 1998 Doo Dah Parade.
Judges favored the wild antics of Tequila Mockingbird over a menagerie of other contenders, some of whom are shown here. This year’s parade, the 22nd offering, promises dogs in drag, the Dead Rose Queens, Recumbent Revolution, Dr. Demento, the Graveyard Farmers and, of course, the house band Snotty Scotty & the Hankies. The spectacle takes place at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 22 along Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena.
