The Laguna Beach Unified School District board is expected at its Tuesday meeting to appoint Herb Farrar, a retired school administrator, as interim principal for El Morro Elementary School. He will take over for Linda Purrington, who resigned after she was passed over for a job as assistant superintendent with the district. She has said she already had been looking for opportunities elsewhere. The board also will recognize Purrington’s accomplishments in her six years at El Morro. The board meets at 7 p.m. at district headquarters, 550 Blumont St. Information: (949) 497-7700.
