Ventura Women Still Zeroed In, 4-0

Lacy Hanna scored two goals and Shannon Prentice had two assists for Ventura College, which rolled to a 4-0 victory over Santa Monica in a Western State Conference women’s soccer match Tuesday at Ventura.
Nicole Straky had five saves and recorded her ninth shutout of the season for the Pirates (12-0-2, 10-0).
Santa Monica is 8-4-2, 5-4-1.
In other women’s college soccer games:
Moorpark 3, Bakersfield 0--Tiffany Tackett scored two goals and the Raiders (10-3-3, 7-1-2) won a WSC game at Moorpark.
Santa Barbara 1, Canyons 0--Sondra Williamson took a pass from Julie Schnyder and scored 12 minutes into the WSC game, and the Vaqueros (7-2-3, 6-2-2) made it stand up at Santa Barbara.
MEN’S SOCCER
Moorpark 4, Citrus 0--Jorge Rodriguez scored twice in the first 19 minutes of the second half to break a scoreless tie for the Raiders in a nonconference game at Citrus.
Pablo Rastorta and Jason Leonard added goals for Moorpark (9-4-3).
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Canyons def. Hancock, 16-14, 15-9, 17-15--Cynthia Slankard had 10 kills and Sarah Wilkin added eight for the Cougars, who broke a four-game WSC losing streak at Canyons.
Wendy Cook had 42 assists for Canyons (3-5, 1-4).
Moorpark def. Glendale, 15-1, 15-0, 15-1--Megan Scanlon had seven kills and Heidi Ferguson five for the Raiders (5-2, 5-1) in a WSC victory at Moorpark.
