Congressman Fatally Shot

Jorge Humberto Gonzalez, president of the labor affairs committee of the House of Representatives, was shot and killed as he drove with his wife and son through Medellin, authorities said. Motorcycle gunmen shot the 48-year-old congressman four times at a red light in the city center. His wife and son were not injured. Police said they knew of no motive.
