Seventh-graders at Fulton and Masuda middle schools earned high honors at the recent Orange County academic pentathlon. Masuda’s Division III team won first place overall, first place in the marine biology super quiz and had the best overall score in all four divisions. The Division I team placed second overall and won first in the marine biology super quiz. Fulton’s team was the best overall in its division, had the highest math score in the county and placed sixth in the oceanography super quiz. All students were timed and tested in four categories: math, essay, literature and social studies.
