The yearlong remodeling of the Orange Avenue Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been completed, leading to a string of rededication events, including an open house, family concert and worship service on Feb. 27 and 28.
Gary A. Brassfield, the church’s president, said all are welcome to attend the celebration. No offerings will be taken at the events, including the worship service, he said.
A light lunch will kick off the celebration at 1 p.m. Feb. 27. Thereafter, guests may enjoy a self-guided tour of the newly remodeled sanctuary, cultural hall, Family History Center and meeting rooms.
At 7 p.m., a concert by recording artist James Oneil Miner and vocal trio ProClaim will begin. Light refreshments will be served.
On Feb. 28, the dedication service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a 1 p.m. reception and open house.
In all cases, reservations must be made because of the large turnout expected. The church address is 4000 Orange Ave., near Holder Street, Anaheim.
