Fountain Valley School District trustees recently approved a $34-million budget for the 1999-2000 school year. Changes from last year include adding a kindergarten through fifth-grade special education class, which requires an additional teacher and two aides; starting a 20-to-1 student-to-teacher kindergarten pilot program at three schools; hiring an additional psychologist; putting the district’s vocal music program into the curriculum and developing an interactive Web site.
