Borchard Road Extension
* The controversial Borchard Road extension plan continues in litigation regardless of the people’s righteous concerns for the public’s safety.
The plan currently proposed by the developers of the Dos Vientos project is obviously hazardous at double the recommended grade of Thousand Oaks city code. It would appear that major contractors have more influence in our society than the will of the involved communities.
Subsequent to the road’s completion, there will be accidents, and recourse via the civil court system is assured. Due to the current discourse, the plaintiffs are assured settlement, and who will suffer the assessment? You and I, not Dos Vientos or the Superior Court.
Is this just another situation where Big Money takes precedent over the reality of We the People?
