Gas Protest

Re April 30th’s “Great Gas Out”: The whole point of that day was for everybody to get together and boycott the gas stations for one day! I know people are tired of paying for high gas prices. On this day, I was out driving to do my usual errands and still I saw people packing the gas stations like they hadn’t heard of the protest. We must come together if we are going to win against the gas companies.

How unfair it is of people to believe that the recent rise in gasoline prices was a case of gouging by the oil companies! Oil company officials have denied such a charge and I, for one, believe their credibility to be as reliable as that of cigarette company officials who denied that cigarettes could be detrimental to one’s health.
